Epic Sydney home has indoor soccer pitch and glass wall pool

No. 31 Clarke St in Earlwood is one of the coolest homes to hit the market in Sydney this year.

An epic Sydney mansion with a glass walled swimming pool, indoor soccer pitch, aquarium and a six-car garage has been listed for sale.

The 565sqm property at 31 Clarke St in Earlwood has a whopping 505sqm of indoor space and also features a romantic main bedroom, sunken lounge, a panic room and smart features controlled by an app.

The state-of-art home, named Bill’s house, is being offered for the first time since the current owner acquired the block a decade ago.

The Earlwood home was built with no expense spared.

Listed with Cobden & Hayson’s Jim Nikolopoulos and Namir Mikha, the mansion could challenge the Earlwood record when it goes to auction on July 18.

Since coming up for sale on Thursday night, Mr Nikolopoulos said inquires for 31 Clarke St have been off the charts.

“It will no doubt be the most talked about home to come up for sale in the area this year,” he said.

The main bedroom features a spa.

The owner, a concrete contractor, enlisted Tony Owen to design the home and wanted it to make maximum use of concrete and solid construction.

Mr Nikolopoulos said the final product is one of the few homes with no flaws in its design.

“It would have to be the best entertainer’s home I have ever walked into,” he said.

Bill’s house has four bedrooms and three levels of living and entertaining. The ground floor has a rumpus room, fully stocked bar and an aquarium, as well as a home office, a kitchen and living area.

The living room has a stone wall and views of the backyard.

Three of the four bedrooms on the top floor have private balconies including the main. The main bedroom is well equipped for the romantic at heart, with it featuring a spa in the middle.

All floors are connected by a sleek staircase that was inspired by the James Bond franchise, according to Mr Nikolopoulos.

The basement garage has room for six cars.

The basement has some incredible features that most homeowners could only dream of including heated flooring, a home cinema, gym and an indoor soccer pitch.

“I have never seen an indoor soccer court in a house before, and I don’t think anyone has ever sold one in Sydney,” Mr Nikolopoulos said.

The basement also has a panic room and a six-car garage that Mr Nikolopoulos said reminds him of a Westfield carpark.

The swimming pool has a swim-up bar, a see-through wall and is surrounded by a sunken lounge, an outdoor kitchen and water feature.

Mr Nikolopoulos said it was hard to pinpoint who might buy the home, but it would appeal to buyers who would not usually look in Earlwood.

“This is the type of home that will bring buyers who usually look elsewhere in the inner west, simply because you won’t find a home like this there,” he said.
