Former opposition leader David Speirs could be well over $1.5m richer after quietly offloading at least three of his investment properties in hush-hush deals.
Land Services SA records show Mr Speirs successfully sold a Christies Beach unit in November last year for $475,000, while his second two-bedroom unit in the same suburb sold for $408,000, according to its listing agent.
A popular beachside Airbnb has also been listed as “under offer” on realestate.com.au.

The property, known as “The Shack” was purchased by Mr Speirs and a friend in 2022 for $770,000 but could now be worth as much as $820,000, according to real estate records.
The homes were put on the market by Mr Speirs late last year, with the former liberal leader still awaiting results on three others currently for sale.

Mr Speirs is still looking to sell three other homes, including his private residence in Kingston Park.
This includes a unit in Oaklands Park and one in Mitcham, as well as Mr Speirs’ private Kingston Park home, which has been listed for sale with price hopes of $2.4m to $2.5m.
The six properties form almost half of Mr Speirs’ once 13-strong property portfolio, which he amassed during his decade-long parliamentary career.
Mr Speirs formally resigned from politics in October last year – a month before facing the Christies Beach Magistrates Court, where he was charged with one count of supplying or administering a drug, other than cannabis, to a person.
In a video supplied to The Advertiser, Mr Speirs appears to snort an unspecified white powder in the kitchen of his Kingston Park home.
Metadata revealed the video was recorded on June 30.
Mr Speirs claims the recording was a deepfake, while a top forensic analyst concluded it was “authentic” with no indication of tampering.
He will next appear in court in March.
