Allianz Commercial Makes North American Leadership Promotions in Financial Lines and Property
Allianz Commercial, headquartered in New York City, made two promotions to its North American leadership in financial lines and property.
Nancy Dorvil, head of property Canada, will succeed Jenise Klein as regional head of property, North America. Dorvil will be based in New York. She joined Allianz in 2013 as an underwriter in the engineering line of business and assumed the role of head of property Canada in 2019.
Eric Wedin, regional head of commercial and financial institutions, will succeed Jarrod Schlesinger as regional head of financial lines, North America. Based in New York, Wedin joined Allianz in 2023 as regional head of commercial and financial institutions, North America. Prior to this role, he held various positions at Chubb during his 15-year tenure at the company. Wedin joined ACE/Chubb after five years at AIG where he was regional manager for the New York region.
Resilience Makes Leadership Promotions
Resilience has consolidated its core insurance operations under George Kotsiopoulos, who was named president, insurance. Kotsiopoulos will lead Resilience’s global underwriting strategy, capacity partnerships and actuarial functions in addition to his existing role leading global distribution and strategy.
The company named Gavin Reed as head of underwriting for North America. Gavin brings over 20 years of experience as a broker and underwriter in London and the U.S. In his three years at Resilience, he helped build the company’s underwriting presence on the West Coast before co-leading the U.S. underwriting team.
Sarah Thompson is now global head of sales strategy, a new leadership role. She is responsible for strategy, enablement and operations across all revenue-producing teams.
Jack Jenner has been promoted to a new role as managing director, international insurance. He has experience in building business in multicultural European and Asian markets. He will continue to partner closely with Rehan Hussain, head of underwriting, international.
