Specialty insurer Beazley appointed Lindsay Shipper as head of commercial property, North America, effective April 1.
She will report to Richard Montminy, group head of property risks, and will be based in Atlanta.
Shipper brings close to two decades experience in the property market. She joins from Marsh, where in her 16-year career she held a number of senior positions, most recently managing director, Southeast Zone Property Leader.
“Property owners across North America are facing an evolving landscape driven by climate risk and increasing property values,” said Montminy. “We are committed to continuing our investment to support our brokers and clients in meeting the challenge, and I am delighted that Lindsay will be joining to help us realize our growth ambitions.”
Porch Group Names Leadership in Sales, Strategy, Reinsurance and Underwriting

Porch Group Inc., headquartered in Seattle, named four new members to its leadership team.

The company named Eric Lemieur as head of insurance sales and distribution. Lemieur is a sales, strategy, and operations executive with expertise in exclusive and independent agent distribution channels. Previously, Lemieur held sales leadership roles at Farmers Insurance and Foremost.

Chad Mirock was named senior director, insurance product and strategy. Mirock specializes in product management, underwriting and pricing strategies. He previously held product management leadership positions at Country Financial, The Hartford, and Travelers.

Andrea Ferrari was named director, underwriting. Ferrari has over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, specializing in wildfire risk underwriting, catastrophe risk modeling, and loss mitigation. Previously, Andrea led underwriting at Kin and Hippo.
Emmanuel Bellegarde was named head of reinsurance. Bellegarde previously led North America Casualty Facultative reinsurance at McGill and Partners, and held reinsurance leadership roles at Aon Benfield, with additional insurance experience at Willis Towers Watson.
Allstate Names Carter as Chief Human Resources Officer
The Allstate Corp., based in Northbrook, Illinois, hired Andréa Carter as executive vice president and chief human resources officer, effective May 12. She will lead Allstate’s strategy to attract, develop and retain a high-performing and connected global workforce.
With nearly 30 years of experience, Carter joins Allstate from Global Payments Inc., having led its global human capital strategy, talent development and employee engagement as chief human resources officer. Carter has also held human resources leadership roles at Habitat for Humanity, Ralph Lauren, Newell Rubbermaid and The Home Depot.
