    Finch Group welcomes new MD

A significant name has joined the ranks of Ethos Broking member Finch Group.

Paul Goodman has become managing director of the firm, which has eight offices across the UK, having most recently served as regional sales director for JLT Specialty Ltd. In that role he was responsible for devising broking strategies and delivering sales, and also held national responsibility for the manufacturing sector proposition. Now, the veteran of both Bluefin and Oval, is looking forward to this new challenge.

“This is an exciting career move for me and I’m delighted to be embarking on leading a brokerage which I have admired for many years,” he said. “I have known Vince [Gardner, former Finch Group MD] for a while, and when I heard about the opportunity that was available following his move to the central Ethos Broking team, I couldn’t turn it down.

“Finch Group has seen rapid growth organically and through acquisition over recent years and I’m looking forward to working with the team to build upon its successes.”

Meanwhile, Ethos Broking MD Richard Tuplin outlined that the key for the firm is to hire quality people that can drive the business forward.

“He brings significant commercial broking experience to the group, as well as an excellent track record in managing and motivating teams to deliver significant results,” he said. “This, combined with his personal drive and motivation, will greatly support the next phase for Finch Group and build on the fantastic results already achieved by Vince Gardner.”
