A four-bedroom house in Glen Waverley sold at auction today after first going under the hammer on 4 April – the first weekend when restrictions were enforced.
Five bidders competed for the charming house at 4 Glenview Court, which is located in dual school zones.
Listing agent Belinda Van Suylen, of Ray White Glen Waverley, said there was “a lot of uncertainty” at the time of the original auction, but today’s result of $1,415,000 surpassed expectations.
“I was really impressed we had so many interested buyers today. The first weekend after restrictions came up, buyers just weren’t used to online auction and there was a lot of uncertainty,” she said.
“We surpassed the result today, which is great. The sentiment seems to be that things aren’t as bad as they could be and buyers they realise it’s a good time to secure property.”
